Walk the Line

Walk the Line

We went to see Walk the Line today and I have to say it was a GREAT movie! If you are a Johnny Cash fan this is a must see. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon do an excellent job playing Johnny Cash and June Carter and they did all of their own singing in the movie also.

This is a story about music, drug addiction, infidelity and love. It is filled with great songs and it brought tears to our eyes; a wonderful romantic tragedy. The movie is 136 minutes long, but well worth it. We didn't want it to end.

I agree, I love Fall, too, although out here in Central California it is a very short-lived season, if we get one at all. This year we are still in the 70's now, with little to no color to admire, so I am expecting to wake up one morning in full winter, with frost and all, an no Fall at all. : ( I do love raking leaves, however. Something about the smell, the rustling sound...I don't know. But, if you have room in your back or side yard, you might want to pile your leaves there, or at least part of them, and cover them with dirt. You will end up with compost, especially if you want to add coffee grounds, broken egg shells, etc. But even if you don't want those things, the earth will be enriched as you mix it up and it will be great for using around plants, etc. God made 'em for a reason: shade in the heat of summer, and nourishment for the earth once they've fallen.
