Another Idol Gets Record ContractThere are no losers on "American Idol". Kellie Pickler may have got the boot from the show, but she just landed a record contract with 19 Recordings/BNA Records, a label under the SONY BMG Music Entertainment umbrella in Nashville. The Southern sweetheart from last season's "American Idol" is remembered for not only her singing talent, but also her bubbly personality and heavy Southern accent!
Pickler is due to have a country song ready for the radio by September and an album to be released in November this year. The 20-year-old North Carolinian is the latest "also ran" from the 5th season show to sign a record deal. Earlier this year, Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry also inked recording contracts.
I love country music, and of course being from North Carolina myself, I voted for Kellie on "American Idol". I can't wait to hear her debut album.
