When is a Motorcycle not a Motorcycle?

Riddle me this -- When is a motorcycle not a motorcycle? Would you believe when Arnold Schwarzenegger is driving it?

California's Governor crashed his motorcycle into a car that was backing out of a driveway and had to get 15 stitches above his lip. His son was riding in the sidecar but was not injured.

It turns out that Arnold did not have a motorcycle license. Did the Governor get a ticket? NOT! The Los Angeles Police Department did not issue a citation because they didn't see the accident happen. The DMV and California Highway Patrol said that since his Harley had a sidecar attached to it, a motorcycle license was not required.

Is this another case of celebrities getting away with breaking the law? Even if you buy the sidecar making the motorcycle not a motorcycle story what about all the other times Arnold was driving his Harley-Davidson without the sidecar? He has been driving illegally for years! Governors and Movie Stars should have to obey the law just like us commonfolk do!

Arnold broke six ribs and spent four days in the hospital in 2001 from another motorcyle crash. Hey Arnie, maybe your "Terminator" days are over!

Your comments are welcome.

Shameful. Simply shameful. You'd think with all those brains scrambling to think of ways to 'save face' there would be an alternative to make themselves not look so ridiculously biased. Silly politicial-ness. (haha)

It isn't only celebrities that get away with committing "traffic crime". Drive down any road.

Half the people complaining about Arnold probably drove 10 miles over the whole way to work this morning.

I heard on a blog (might not be right) that he has never had a motorcycle license. So, how is it nobody complained about his "special treatment" the last time? Because, it's politics is what I think. Some people are blogging about this likes it's serious... I'm thinking it's goofy. But there are people who are dead serious that this proves the government is out to get them or something.

I keep thinking don't they notice this is business normal for cops across the US? I know a cop who didn't charge a guy in my hometown for driving with a concealed weapon under his seat... he figured after the guy shot himself in the butt all he'd do was bring him to the hospital.
